The first time I saw him, I was in the middle of the night, and I had just finished watching the first episode of The Walking Dead. I’d been watching it for a while, but I hadn’t seen the show yet. He was sitting on the couch, watching a movie, when I walked in. “Hey, man,” I said. And he looked at me and said, “What’s up?”
, he was a big, big fan of my work. When I first met him in 2008, we were both working on a book together. We were working together on an anthology, which was about a group of people who were all from the same town. It was the kind of book that you could imagine being written by a bunch of writers, who would all be writing about the town they grew up in, or the people they knew, in a way that was very different from what we’re used to. So I thought, this guy is going to be a great fit for this book.I was working with him on it, writing it and editing it. Then, one day, while I’m writing, a friend of mine, an editor, came up to me, said “You know, you should do a story about this town.” I didn’t know what to say. But I knew that I wanted to write about it in some way.So I went to my friend’s house and we started talking about what kind to do. My friend said that he had a lot of stories about people from this place, so he wanted me to go and write a little story for him about them. That’s when it all started.We started writing the story, then we went back to his house, where he lived, to talk about how we could do it together, how it could be done. The next day we got together and started working.It was really fun. There were a few things that were really hard to get right, like the way the characters were written. They were very specific, very defined. You could tell that they were writing them for the character, not for me.But I think the thing that really helped was that we had this really good group. A lot more people were involved than I expected. People who had been working in comics for years, people I’ve known for many years.
