Other zinc additives include zinc sulfate, zinc sulfide, boron nitrate, calcium carbonate and zinc phosphate. Many of these presersters are also used by some food manufacturers to add color and flavor to their products (e.g., in ice-cream, in baked products). ZN is not a food preserver.
