Therapeutic motion
– Vitamin needed for the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate and for regular bone calcification
Indications
– Prevention and remedy of vitamin D deficiencies (rickets, osteomalacia)
Kinds and strengths
– 10 000 IU/ml oral answer, in 10 ml vial– 50 000 IU/ml oral answer, in 2 ml ampoule (100 000 IU)
Dosage and period
– Don’t exceed 600 000 IU yearly.
Contra-indications, adversarial results, precautions
– Monitor, if potential, calcaemia and calciuria throughout healing remedy.– Being pregnant: no contra-indication– Breast-feeding: no contra-indication. Cease remedy if indicators of overdosage happen: headache, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, elevated thirst, polyuria.– When healing remedy is being administered to the mom, don’t give vitamin D to the kid.
