Therapeutic motion
– Vitamin vital for the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate and for regular bone calcification
Indications
– Prevention and therapy of vitamin D deficiencies (rickets, osteomalacia)
Kinds and strengths
– 10 000 IU/ml oral resolution, in 10 ml vial– 50 000 IU/ml oral resolution, in 2 ml ampoule (100 000 IU)
Dosage and period
– Don’t exceed 600 000 IU yearly.
Contra-indications, antagonistic results, precautions
– Monitor, if doable, calcaemia and calciuria throughout healing therapy.– Being pregnant: no contra-indication– Breast-feeding: no contra-indication. Cease therapy if indicators of overdosage happen: headache, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, elevated thirst, polyuria.– When healing therapy is being administered to the mom, don’t give vitamin D to the kid.
